SKAD: Ski Kincaid All Day

Canceled for 2021

SKAD (Ski Kincaid All Day) is a lap-format race. This is the longest winter relay ski event around! Grab your friends and get out there for a spring party that lasts all day long. Sign up as a team or race it solo and choose the 12-hour race, 6-hour race, or the youth 3-hour race.  For our younger skiers (ages 6-14), we offer a Youth Team (up to 6 youth racers) for the 3-hour race only, they have a blast!

But the SKAD isn’t just about skiing for a ridiculously long time… it’s about hanging out with friends, family and fellow competitors, it’s about camaraderie and competition, testing the limits of your body (and mind), winning raffle prizes (raffle every few hours), and enjoying fabulous springtime skiing.

Is it hard? Definitely.  Is it worth it? Without a doubt. Will you want to do it year after year because you had SO MUCH FUN? We promise.

Volunteer

Please consider volunteering if you are not racing or if you are planning on being out at Kincaid to support a friend or family member. There is a lot of work that goes into a race like this, and we need help!!! Please contact Race Directors Geoff & Cathy at: cathyalaska@yahoo.com if you are interested. We’ll post calls for volunteers on the Facebook page or through email.

Course

This is a freestyle event, and classic skiers are welcome. Racers may alternate between skate and classic, change skis, or rewax throughout the event. It doesn’t matter how you do your laps, as long as you are on Nordic skis (and going the right direction, and following the general race bible guidelines and showing supportive for your fellow racers… in general, being an awesome human)!

Please read the following directions carefully!

1) If you registered for a team category, please enter team member name(s). If you have yet to finalize your team, only enter your CONFIRMED members, please don’t make up names!

2) If you are racing on a team, please note that EVERY racer on your team must complete the full registration process. Entering your team members name(s) will NOT enter them into the event
